What other conclusion is there? The U.S. is way way WAY off track!
In a truly mind-boggling display of rare bipartisanship, both the Democrats and the Republicans have sunk to unprecedented levels of malignance and depravity to install the least competent, least worthy, least qualified, most tragically pitiful individuals in the highest office in the land.
The state of American democracy may be irredeemable. It simply might be too late. Both major parties are totally corrupt and fatally compromised.
If there is any hope, it will arrive from purely grassroots, bottom-up, citizens activism. “We the people” must put up for election in every federal race in 2026 and 2028, INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES who will report to and faithfully serve the vast majority of the citizens of this country.
Here is the only strategy I am aware of for doing just that . . .
The Contract for American Renewal (CFAR)
When I propose my strategy for “unelecting” the traitors now in Congress, I often get: “But the system is rigged. We can’t do anything about it.”
Let’s face the brutal reality head on.
If enough citizens don’t wake up and act immediately, it’s game over.
Here's hoping The Contract for American Renewal (CFAR) can rescue America from this "Devolutiuon."
From your June 27th article (but which is also directly related to your new post)...

My perspective has always been that... YES... "the system is rigged" but NOT by the PEOPLE within the system (as conditioning could turn any one of us specie's members into one of those people you have amassed in your group photo... I do not believe that anyone of us is immune to falling prey to their particular brand of sociopathy/psychopathy... eventually (bolded and underlined), and with the right conditioning, but the system is instead... "rigged" by the political-structural economy itself, in which it is (at least currently, and has been for a very long time now) based upon... capitalism... a system of SOLELY for-profit over people only at all costs, on steroids... I've read many essays/writers that posit that actually "capitalism" eventually devolves into the opposite of "democracy"... it's a system which seems like it will always (eventually) "devolve" into what we have now because... it seems to ignore/marginalize our specie's best socially-humane characteristics/qualities while simultaneously promoting it's worst individually-oriented ones... and a system which will not allow for the balancing of those two... and then the system (as if to reinforce itself, its very being, so to speak) engrains it in all of us, its citizens, that this is just the normal way for human beings to be (when it's becoming clearer and clearer that it is anything but normal).
Of course, all this in my opinion, and my thoughts here might benefit from some nuance/adjustments.
